Also, if you are having a problem placing an order on-line, or would prefer not to order on-line, or have a special request, please send us an e-mail or call us, and a representative will contact you as soon as possible.

10) Are there any other locations available to purchase this program?
Currently,  The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ may only be purchased on-line, or by calling and speaking with a representative as discussed in Frequently Asked Question Number 9.

This program is designed to improve and maximize self-esteem, academic performance, athletic ability, or virtually any aspect of life for children, teenagers, and adults by focusing on the mental aspect.  It also covers many other topics, including: values, decision-making, peer pressure, manners, politeness, fear, test and athletic anxiety, happiness, confidence, creativity, attractiveness, intelligence, studying, homework, preparation, concentration, test taking, communication, comprehension, participation, motivation, practice, effort, success, goals, bullying, camaraderie, respect, responsibility, friendship, appreciation, sportsmanship, health, strength, energy, perseverance, discipline, leadership, and athletic performance.  The program can be used for all academics, team and individual sports, including, but not limited to: math, history, science, English, reading, speech, forensics, SAT/ACT, BAR Exam, choir, band, dance, modeling, acting, drama, football, basketball, baseball, track and field, cross-country, volleyball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, equestrian, tennis, golf, skiing, bicycling, bowling, gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming and diving, crew, wrestling, boxing, martial arts, and weightlifting.  The program has also been used for general overall fitness, weight loss, and better sleeping.

15) Can I speak with Mark Garibaldi regarding any of the issues and topics he addresses under "THE PROGRAM",  "FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS" Number 14, or any other questions or issues I may have; and, is he available for individual or group instruction, private sessions and CD's/tapes, consulting, counseling, coaching, training, or appearances?   Also, is there a fee for
his services?

Whichever way you contact Mark, he will respond back to you.  The fee for Mark's services is based on your issue or topic, how much time will be involved in discussing the matter, and what type of service is requested.  You may pay by using Paypal, or by mailing a check or money order.  Checks and money orders must be received and cleared before any consultation or services take place.


16) Is The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ just for teenagers, and how old should a person be to use the program?
The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ program was originally developed for all teenagers, both boys and girls alike, ages 13 through 18, focusing on junior high and high school students.  However, because the program has become so popular and has been used for so many different types of activities and topics, it is currently being used by children as young as 6 and adults in their 80's.  It really depends on a person's maturity and motivation in using the program, and is suitable for a wide range of ages.  Grammar and high school students, parents, teachers, coaches, professionals, college students and athletes, physically challenged, grandparents, and professional athletes have all successfully used the series, and/or had private sessions using The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ methodologies.

17) Is The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ program just for athletes?
This program is not just for athletes. The program is based on self-esteem, and is designed for all people.  The athletic session is just one-third of the program, with the other two-thirds of the program being devoted to self-esteem and academics.  The athletic session can also be used for any extra-curricular activities such as band or drama.  The idea of the series is to give people access to all of the tools they need to help them succeed in life, school, and sports, if they so chose to participate.  For those that are involved in athletics, it also has a self-esteem component within the session, designed to cover many of the issues that athletes deal with, and to maximize the athletes potential and performance.  There are many athletes who use the program, and they have found it to be extremely beneficial in all areas, not just athletics.


18) Is The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ only for those people who have issues, problems, or concerns?
The program is for all people, and benefits everyone who uses it.  It is designed to improve and maximize self-esteem, academic performance, athletic ability, or virtually any aspect of life for children, teenagers, and adults.  The majority of people who use the program are looking for that confidence, educational, or athletic advantage over their competition. The users of the program want to ensure that they are well rounded and have all of their life skills covered, including the most important, the mental aspect.

19) Who uses The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™?
The program is being successfully used by grammar school, junior high and high school students, parents, teachers, coaches, professionals, college students and athletes, physically challenged, special education students, grandparents, senior citizens, clergy, and professional athletes. 20) How often do you have to use The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ for it to be effective?
People should start off using the program every day for at least the first 30 days, and then they may start using it every other day, every few days, or on an "as needed basis". The important aspect of the series is to consistently use it on a regular basis to get the most out of the program. The more often you use the program, the more effective it will be.


21) When should I expect to start seeing some results?
This all depends on what you are seeking to gain from The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ , and how often you use the program.  The type of results and the length of time before one sees results really depends on the individual.  Some will see immediate results after one session, while others may not see results for several days, or weeks.  The results will be subtle for some, and dramatic for others.  Again, the more often and serious you are about using the program, the quicker and better results you will experience.  For example: Let's say that you wanted to improve your free throw shooting before the start of the season which begins in 30 days, and you were given a basketball to take home and practice with.  You shoot free throws one night for 30 minutes and then you put the basketball away, and you do not practice with it again for the rest of the week, or you use it one more time or not at all over the next 30 days.  When you have your first game and attempt to shoot free throws, you will probably do horribly or not well on the free throw line. Why?  Common sense tells us that to be a good free throw shooter you must practice every day shooting free throws.  The theory that practice makes perfect, also applies to using The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™.  You need to use the series consistently to get the most out of the program.


22) How many different sessions are on The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™?

Not including the introduction, the program is divided into four individual sessions, which includes a separate session devoted to each of the following areas: improving your self-esteem, improving your academic performance, and improving your athletic ability.  The fourth, or "bonus" session, is designed to improve all three areas (self-esteem, academics, and athletics) in one condensed session.


23) What does each session consist of on The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™?
Each of the four sessions will include progressive relaxation techniques, visualization, guided imagery, positive suggestions, and comforting and soothing music.  Be prepared to visit a serene vacation location, as each session takes you to a different quiet, peaceful place, which allows you to become completely "relaxed and stress free", while at the same time improving your self-esteem, academic performance, or athletic ability. Each session has it's own distinct, peaceful, and original music.

24) What are progressive relaxation, visualization, guided imagery, and positive suggestions?
Progressive relaxation is a form of complete relaxation designed to relax the entire body and mind starting from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head.  Visualization is when you imagine certain mental pictures, images, or scenes in your mind.  Guided imagery is when someone is guiding, leading, or assisting you through seeing mental pictures, images, or scenes in you mind.  Positive suggestions, statements, or affirmations, are "positive or encouraging statements" designed to replace negative or discouraging thoughts, beliefs, ideas, or statements.


25) In what format is The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ available, and how long does each session last? 
This program is available on either a two-CD or three-Cassette audio format, with the introduction lasting approximately 29 minutes.  Each of the other sessions; improving your self-esteem, improving your academic performance, improving your athletic ability, and the bonus session, which improves all three areas, are each approximately 25 minutes in length.


26) Is there a book, manual, or text that comes with The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™?

The program does not come with a book, manual, or text.  The introduction of the program, along with these Frequently Asked Questions, explains how the program was developed, what the program consists of, how the program works, how to use the program, and what to expect from using the program.  It was designed so that it can be used individually without the need for an instructor, but can also be used or implemented with a parent, teacher, or coach. It is very simple, easy to understand, and fun to use.  All the listener has to do is find a nice, quite, comfortable location, close their eyes, and enjoy the program! 


27) Do I need to listen to each session on The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ every day?
You should listen to the introduction at least once or twice when you first start the series.  As for the other sessions, you should listen to the session or sessions that fit your particular needs on a regular basis.  Start out listening to the self-esteem session, and then decide which of the remaining sessions apply to you.  If all of the sessions apply to you, then listen to all of the sessions.  Listen to one session per day, and rotate the sessions that you listen to.  For example: you may listen to the self-esteem on Monday, academics on Tuesday, athletics on Wednesday, the bonus on Thursday, and so on.  If you have time, you may want to listen to more than one session in the same day, such as in the morning and in the evening.  If you decide to listen to two sessions in a row, take at least a 30-minute break between sessions to allow your mind and body time to fully process and appreciate each session. 


28) When is the best time of the day to use The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ every day?
There is no set "best time" of the day to use the program.  It really depends on a person's time schedule and well-being.  Just like some people like to exercise in the morning, while others like to exercise in the afternoon or evening, the same applies to listening to the program.  Students and athletes may not have time to listen to the program during the day, but may have time in the evening before they go to sleep.  It really depends on each person's individual schedule, and what time works best for you to accomplish your goals.


29) Can I listen to The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ while I am lying down?
It is best to listen to the program while you are comfortably seated in a quite location.  If you lie down while listening to the program, you may fall asleep because relaxation is a big component of each session.  However, several people have chosen to listen to the program in bed before they go to sleep at night, and it does help them sleep better.  It is recommended that you listen to the program sitting up the first several times, so that you will know what is being said in the program.  If you did decide, at some later point, to listen to a session while lying down, and if you do fall asleep while listening to the program, your subconscious mind will still hear the program.


30) What is the difference between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind?

The conscious mind is the logical part of your mind that deals with your plans and goals, what you are presently thinking or feeling, and what you have learned.  The subconscious mind is that part of the mind which controls our behavior, emotions, motivations, bodily functions, habits, and inner feelings.


31) Where is the best place to listen to The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™?
There is no "best place" to listen to the program.  The program can be listened to at home, office, work, school, parks, athletic fields or gyms, the library, outdoors, or many other locations.  The most important aspect is finding some quiet, comfortable location without distractions.  If you are outside or exposed to noise, you may need to listen to the program with headphones.


32) Can I listen to The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ while in a vehicle?
The program should not be listened to while driving a vehicle or operating any machinery.  If you are a passenger in a vehicle and you want to listen to the program, then listen to the program with headphones on so that other passengers, including the driver, do not hear the program.  Since the sessions are based on relaxation, it should not be listened to by the person driving the vehicle or a person operating any machinery.

33) Should I use The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™ immediately before an exam, athletic contest, or event?
It would be best to listen to the program the night before, the morning of, or several hours before the event.  This way you will be refreshed and ready to perform to the best of your ability.  Many athletes listen to the program with their headphones on several hours before their event, while they are traveling to the contest on the team bus.  Remember, it is not what you do immediately preceding the event that will make the difference.  The key is in your preparation for the event, and as I mentioned before, this means having listened to the program many times in advance.  It would be unrealistic to think that you can listen to the program one time right before the event, and expect to make a significant difference in your performance.  It takes regular practice!


34) Why would parents, teachers, or coaches use The Garo Method
of Mental Fitness™?

The program is not in competition with parents, teachers, and coaches, but is designed to assist or work in conjunction with them.  The goal of the program is to help students and athletes become more relaxed, calm, focused, and confident for life, and for their exams and events, so that they can perform to the best of their potential and maximize their effort.  The program allows students and athletes to peak perform and avoid distractions, so that they can implement the knowledge and skills they have acquired from their parents at home, teachers in the classroom, and coaches on the field or in the gym.  Parents find that listening to the program with their children or teenagers, strengthens the family bond, shows interest and concern, opens communications, and serves as a relaxing, fun, family event. Many teachers and coaches set aside classroom and practice time to listen to the program with their students and athletes in a group setting, and consider this the most important part of their studying, training, and preparation.  Not only does it promote team building and camaraderie, but it also puts the students and athletes in the right frame of mind to excel both in and out of the classroom, and on the field or in the gym.  The students and athletes then follow up and reinforce these sessions, by listening to their own copy of the program at home on a regular basis.


35) Why do I need my own copy of The Garo Method of Mental Fitness™?
The program works best if the listeners have their own copy.  This way they can listen to the program at their own time and location convenience, and use the program on a regular basis.  The more that you listen to the program, the better results you will receive!
